Why did Aspiration Zero shut down?

I just remembered the Aspiration Zero credit card shut down a while back. Kinda strange, honestly..I used to like the whole "plant a tree with every purchase" idea. I wonder why they ended it, I wasn't planning to keep it long-term, but still curious what happened

Aspiration zero card was discontinued earlier this year and from what I've heard, it seems the company decided to shift focus and rethink how they approach their climate goals. There were some challenges with meeting their tree planting commitments and a bit of regulatory scrutiny, so they pulled the plug on that specific card. They're still offering other eco focused products though

I was curious as well! Thanks for explaining that. Any ideas if they plan to bring back a similar card in the future or shift more toward investing options?

Thanks for the info, makes sense they'd rethink strategy if they faced challenges. I hope their other eco products stay strong and impactful, it's good to see companies adapting while keeping climate goals in mind
